Dr Sergej Cicovic is a New Zealand trained specialist in Cardiology and Cardiac Interventions. He grew up in Auckland and completed his studies at the University of Auckland. After graduating he completed his cardiology training, being awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Sergej undertook his subspeciality training in Auckland, North Shore, and Middlemore hospitals before being accepted at the prestigious Toronto General Hospital, becoming the first formally trained Cardiac High-risk Interventionalist in Canada and New Zealand and helping to develop this new field. He has built an expertise in advanced treatments for coronary artery disease along with management of critically unwell patients.
He is a Interventional Cardiologist at Auckland City Hospital and a Honorary Lecturer at the University of Auckland. He has been an author of several publications and has been a speaker at multiple international conferences.
Identifying and treating a problem quickly means that patients can start feeling better and get back to enjoying life.
